About Holden
Originally a rural farming area, the town began to change in the 1800s. Villages began to develop throughout the town around textile mills that were taking advantage of the water power provided by the local streams and rivers. Today Holden is mostly a residential community with a very nice assortment of businesses.
I have found Holden to be a nice community offering good services to its residents. The town common offers numerous functions for families during the summer evenings that I have attended.
