Sutton Ma. Real Estate Information
Sutton’s location affords it easy access throughout Massachusetts with route 146 passing through the middle of the town. It is a very quick 8 miles from Worcester, 30 miles from Providence and 45 from Boston. Sutton Ma real estate has seen a steady appreciation over the years as new and young professionals move into the area.
It offers lovely open spaces coupled with easy access to the urban job markets in the area. Good schools compliment Sutton’s resources. Sutton manages its own district, and its school’s are above average for the region. Sutton’s Middle and High School rank among the best in the area. Sutton is also part of the Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School District.
The town has several lakes that offer year round enjoyment for outdoor enthusiasts. Manchaug Pond offers fishing and boating, however, there is no public beach at the pond. Lake Singletary offers a nice beach with lifeguards along with boating and fishing. Discounted seasonal beach passes are available for purchase by residents.
Pleasant Valley Country Club used by the PGA and LPGA is located in this town. It has a lengthy history in the golf community, and features very nice views of the spacious mountain valley. The town is also home to Purgatory Chasm which offers rock climbers and hikers access to interesting geological formations dating back 14,000 years. Granite walls rising as high as 70-80 feet are popular for climbers.
There are several farms in the area. These include Christmas tree, orchards, and produce farms. Whittier Farms, which I have been to, offers fresh produce, cattle sales, and a retail store featuring homemade soups.
I am very familiar with Sutton, and it offers quite a bit to its residents. The town has great interest with young buyers looking for a rural community with city ties.
