West Boylston, Ma. Real Estate Information
The town of West Boylston was incorporated in 1808. It grew in prosperity during the 1800’s as
various manufacturing industries operated in the town. When the Wachusett Reservoir was built, West Boylston lost 2200 acres of land, and its industrial prominence.

Around the Town
West Boylston is a very nice residential town. The vestiges of industry have long since disappeared, but in its place is a very nice rural community.
The town’s access to the reservoir is limited, but there is ample access for people to enjoy a peaceful hike in the area. Locally, the Central Mass Rail Trail, offers travelers in the area a nice piece of outdoor beauty. Over 25 miles of railroad line have been used to create a very nice trail system that hikers, skiing, bicyclists, and joggers can enjoy. The plan is to make the Rail Trail join numerous existing parks and conservation lands making them bigger and more viable.
The town’s accessibility to Route 190, which passes directly through West Boylston, gives its residents an easy commute to Worcester and points throughout the State. West Boylston has a very healthy real estate market with enough business presence to satisfy most local residents. I find the town very nice and the community quite friendly.
